Mini Royale entered Steam Early Access on March 27, 2025 and remains in that state as of June 2026. IndigoBlue has maintained a strong and consistent update cadence throughout the Early Access period, delivering a steady stream of feature patches, bug fixes, and major content drops. Since launch, the game has received multiple major updates: a weapon camo system and new map in May 2025, a Christmas update in December 2025 adding offline bot play and viewmodel customization, the Gun Game arcade mode in February 2026, a perk system overhaul in April 2026, and a progression system rework with anti-cheat improvements on June 15, 2026 — just two days before today's date. The developer has been transparent about ongoing work. In October 2025, after a quieter stretch caused by a major engine upgrade for console development, they confirmed they were "still actively working on the game." As of February 28, 2026, a Map Editor feature was described as in active development and becoming more feature-complete. The June 15, 2026 patch notes mention future plans to add offline progression and eventually full play without a login or network connection. The store description also explicitly calls out that additional game modes are "... and more to come!" There is no indication that development is winding down. The pace of updates is sustained and frequent, and the developer has active plans on the public record.
