Evaluation

MiniLAW: Ministry of Law launched on January 1, 2020 after a period of Early Access development. Following launch, Lasso Games issued a series of patches — primarily bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements — through December 2021. The last patch was version 1.0.8 on December 18, 2021, which added a video option to address frame rate issues. The most recent developer communication is a post from August 14, 2023 [NEWS-1], in which Lasso Games celebrated the game's third anniversary by reducing the base price to $9.99. The tone of the post — "Thank you all for enjoying the game and playing along with us over the years!" — strongly suggests the developer regards this as a finished, settled product rather than one under active development. There are no announcements of upcoming content, no roadmap items, and no unreleased DLC on the store. The only DLC ever released was a soundtrack pack on January 12, 2020 [DLC-1]. Looking at the post-launch update history, the developer shipped a handful of feature patches and bug fixes between January 2020 and December 2021, then went silent on development activity. The August 2023 price reduction post, coming nearly two years after the last patch, reads as a farewell gesture rather than a prelude to new content. No further developer communications have occurred since that date, which is now nearly three years ago as of June 2026. The game shipped as a complete single-player experience at 1.0, fulfilled its pre-release roadmap commitments (tutorial revamp, multiple endings, cinematics — all referenced in the 0.5.0 roadmap from June 2019 [NEWS-7] and plausibly completed by the 1.0 launch), and has received no content additions post-launch. The price reduction anniversary post is treated as the effective end-of-support marker, as it represents the developer's last meaningful engagement with the game.
Evidence
Developer reduced the base price to $9.99 to celebrate 3 years of the game, thanking players for 'playing along with us over the years' — framed as a retrospective milestone rather than a lead-in to new content. This is the last official communication from the developer.
