Monster Lab Simulator launched into Early Access on February 13, 2026, accompanied by a roadmap of planned content. Round 3 Studios has maintained an active development cadence since launch. The first major update, "Empower Your Fulus," shipped on March 2, 2026, introducing new progression systems and machines. The developer previewed the next major update, "My Best Friend," in a devlog on April 14, 2026, and on September 28, 2026 opened a public beta for it — combining the My Best Friend update (Fulu customization, relationship systems, new behaviors, bonds, and personalities) with broad game revisions including a new Deathmatch mode and full controller support. This update is in beta as of September 28, 2026, awaiting full public release. Beyond that, the developer has shown early-stage concepts for a future update called "Ancient Power Awakens," which would introduce a new area (The Mines), a new element, and new Fulus. The game continues to receive consistent bug fixes and feature patches throughout this period, and no completion date or "final update" has been announced.
