MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE launched on June 16, 2022 and received a solid run of post-launch content updates through its first year. The developer shipped four named feature updates: the Cozy Update (August 18, 2022), the Spooky Update (October 6, 2022), the Festive Update (December 1, 2022), and the Anniversary Update (June 6, 2023). These added new game modes, gun parts, levels, enemies, co-op features, and more. The Anniversary Update on June 6, 2023 was accompanied by a candid note from the developer stating: "At this point, we are not sure if more content updates will be coming to Forge (maybe?)." This is a clear signal that substantive content development for the game had effectively concluded, with the developer expressing uncertainty rather than commitment to future updates. After that, communications shifted entirely to bug fixes and stability patches, with the last developer post on August 5, 2024 adding crash fixes and language support — purely maintenance work. Since then, Terrible Posture Games has publicly turned its attention to two new projects: Battle Train (announced June 21, 2024) and Good Boy (announced November 14, 2025), both of which are entirely separate games. No further content has been announced for MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE, no unreleased DLC exists on the store, and the developer's own words at the one-year mark indicated the content cycle was wrapping up. The game shipped as a complete, polished experience and received a strong year of post-launch additions before the team moved on to new projects.
