Mr. Shifty launched on April 13, 2017 as a complete, finished game. Following launch, the developer shipped two patches in May 2017 — patch 1.0.4 on May 26 with quality-of-life improvements, and patch 1.0.5 on May 31 with Alienware FX support and translation fixes. The May 26 patch notes mentioned "a big list of exciting changes we'd like to add," but no specific content was ever announced or delivered after that point. The only DLC ever released was the soundtrack, which shipped on launch day. The most recent developer communication referencing the game was a sale announcement on August 3, 2020, which was focused on promoting another tinyBuild title rather than any new Mr. Shifty content. There have been no post-launch expansions, no roadmap, no unshipped DLC, and no developer statements indicating further content is planned. The game launched as a self-contained action title and its post-launch activity consisted solely of polish patches in its first weeks.
