Mushroom Season

Mushroom Season is a mushroom-picking simulator currently in Early Access on Steam. The game launched on July 25, 2024 and has been receiving updates from the developer since then, including a substantial Update 1 on November 30, 2024 that added new locations, a new vehicle, side quests, and five new mushroom species, followed by several smaller bug-fix and feature patches through March 8, 2025. On September 7, 2025, the developer posted screenshots previewing a new "big update" with new locations and features, noting that it was originally planned for mushroom season (summer/early autumn) but that more work remained than expected, pushing the target to "autumn" 2025. That post is the last communication from the developer. As of June 19, 2026, the autumn 2025 window has long passed with no release of the update and no further posts explaining the delay. This gap — roughly nine months of silence after a specific release window was communicated — raises genuine uncertainty about whether development is continuing as planned.
