Evaluation

MX vs. ATV Supercross Encore launched into full release on October 27, 2015, when the developer shipped a major update and explicitly exited Early Access. Crucially, that same announcement stated: "This will be the last content update as we will now focus on optimizing the game for certain hardware and addressing the last remaining bugs." This was a clear, direct declaration that the game's content development was complete at launch. Following the 1.0 release, the studio did ship a wave of paid DLC — 33 packs in total covering additional tracks, vehicles, and open-world maps from major brands like KTM, Husqvarna, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha. The final DLC, Squall Valley, released on August 2, 2016. All 33 DLC items in the store listing are marked as released, with no unreleased content remaining. A track editor with Steam Workshop support was added on April 26, 2020, extending the game's lifespan through community-created content, but this does not represent first-party content development. The studio has since moved on to sequels: MX vs ATV All Out (announced September 2017) and MX vs ATV Legends (released June 28, 2022). No further content for Supercross Encore has been announced or suggested since the Squall Valley DLC shipped in August 2016. The game is complete.
