MXGP 2021 launched on November 30, 2021 as Milestone's officially licensed motocross simulation for the 2021 season. Following launch, the developer shipped two feature patches: one on December 21, 2021 adding the Mantova track, a Desert map for the track editor, camera customization, and leaderboard ghosts; and a second on January 31, 2022 adding the Lacapelle-Marival track, a new track editor biome, and various gameplay improvements. There have been no developer communications of any kind since January 31, 2022 — over four years ago. The only DLC ever released was a Credits Multiplier convenience item on launch day, and no additional DLC was announced or listed. The store description makes no mention of planned updates or future content. Milestone follows an annual release cycle for the MXGP series (MXGP 2021 was succeeded by MXGP 2022 and later entries), which is consistent with this title having received its final updates in early 2022. The game shipped as a complete, season-specific sports title and has received no content development since January 2022.
