Evaluation
My Burning Heart launched on July 23, 2019 and received updates through early 2020, including full English voice acting added on January 8, 2020 and a Spanish translation on May 10, 2020. The store description still lists several features as "Coming Soon": a French translation, Steam Trading Cards, and after stories (bonus story content following the main game's endings). A developer post from May 10, 2020 confirmed the French translation was still in progress and that the after stories were planned for summer 2020. Neither has been publicly confirmed as shipped since then. The developer has remained active — Ertal Games posted about a new game (Jolly Roger) in August 2023 — but has made no further public statements about My Burning Heart specifically since May 10, 2020. The promised content from over five years ago remains unconfirmed as delivered, with no update or explanation from the developer about its status.
Evidence
Developer confirms French translation is still in progress and after stories are planned for summer 2020. This is the last post directly addressing My Burning Heart's development.
