My Cheetah Friend

My Cheetah Friend launched on September 12, 2024 as a self-described complete game — the developer noted in a pre-launch post on August 26, 2024 that "the game is complete." Since launch, the developer has issued a series of patches focused on bug fixes, Steam Deck compatibility, and quality-of-life improvements, culminating in Update 1.3 on February 23, 2026, which added AI-generated voice acting and sound effects to major scenes. Crucially, the February 23, 2026 update post signals a winding-down of work on this title. The developer explicitly wrote "I thought I would not touch this game" before being drawn back in by a bug report, and framed the voice addition as a bonus made possible by leftover credits from another project. The post pivots to promoting two upcoming games — Throat Goat and My Dragon Idol — as the developer's current focus. No future content for My Cheetah Friend has been announced or hinted at. The broader pattern confirms this: the developer has been consistently announcing and building new titles (Slave Harem in September 2024, Flavors of Desires in December 2024, My Secretary Bird in May 2025, Throat Goat in September 2025, My Dragon Idol ongoing) rather than expanding My Cheetah Friend. All DLC listed on the store has been released. The game appears to be a complete, finished product as of the February 2026 update.
