My Therapy

My Therapy is a free-to-play Early Access visual novel that launched on August 11, 2022. The developer, working solo, faced a significant disruption when they had to leave their home country for political and economic reasons, announcing their return to development on March 4, 2023. After returning, the developer worked toward a major update delivering Act 1 of the story, which was announced for December 30, 2023 but ultimately shipped on February 29, 2024. A grammar and polish patch followed on April 14, 2024, with a small bug fix the next day on April 15, 2024. There have been no developer communications of any kind since April 15, 2024. The store description makes clear the current version is an early, lighter build, and that the full game is intended to be considerably longer and darker in tone. The game is explicitly unfinished by design — it remains in Early Access with more acts and content planned. However, more than two years have passed since the last developer post, with no roadmap, no update on future acts, and no explanation for the extended silence. The developer mentioned after shipping Act 1 that they would write up their plans for the future "in a few days," but that follow-up post never came. Given the solo development context, the prior disruption to the developer's personal situation, and the prolonged silence well beyond the previously observed communication pattern, the current status of development is unclear.
