Narcissu 1st & 2nd launched on Steam on April 24, 2015 as a free-to-play visual novel. The developer shipped additional related content over the following year: Ame no Marginal (a companion visual novel) was released on July 7, 2015, and the Narcissu 10th Anniversary Anthology — a separate paid product containing four additional stories and expanded content — was released on January 27, 2016. The store description for this game explicitly directs players who want more content to that Anniversary Anthology, describing it as "a newer version with 4 more stories and other content." This indicates the developer considers this base game's content cycle complete, with the expanded experience available as a separate product. The only DLC ever released (a soundtrack) shipped in April 2014, before the game even launched on Steam.
