Evaluation
NEKO-NIN exHeart 2 released on Steam on April 27, 2018. The game received one DLC — an 18+ adult content patch — which shipped on October 5, 2018. A standalone fan disc, NEKO-NIN exHeart 2 Love +PLUS, was released on April 28, 2019, adding four short character stories. This companion piece was the last content directly associated with NEKO-NIN exHeart 2.
An announcement in April 2019 teased NEKO-NIN exHeart 3 as the next entry in the series, and that sequel has since been released as its own separate product. The series has continued to expand — most recently, a fan disc for a different entry in the franchise (NEKO-NIN exHeart SPIN! LOVE+PLUS) was announced in November 2025 — but no new content has been announced or released specifically for NEKO-NIN exHeart 2 itself.
The sole DLC for this game has been released, the companion Love +PLUS fan disc shipped in April 2019, and no further content for this title has been communicated by the developer. The game is a complete visual novel package.
