Evaluation
NEKO-NIN exHeart released on April 21, 2017 as a visual novel. The developer, Whirlpool, released two character-focused spin-off DLC titles for the base game shortly after launch: +PLUS Nachi on November 2, 2017 and +PLUS Saiha on November 17, 2017. The 18+ adult content DLC — the only DLC listed directly under this game's store page — released on October 5, 2018. All listed DLC for this specific title is released with no unreleased entries remaining.
The NEKO-NIN series has continued to expand, but through separate standalone products rather than content updates to this base game. NEKO-NIN exHeart 2 released on May 1, 2018, followed by its own fan disc (NEKO-NIN exHeart 2 Love +PLUS) on April 28, 2019. Most recently, a new fan disc titled NEKO-NIN exHeart SPIN! LOVE+PLUS was announced on November 27, 2025 and released December 15, 2025 — but this is an entirely separate Steam product, not content added to the original game.
The November 2025 news post promoting the new fan disc links back to this game as part of a series sale, but does not announce any new content for the original NEKO-NIN exHeart. The original game has received no content updates of its own since the adult DLC in October 2018, and no developer communications suggest any further updates are planned for it specifically. The game launched as a complete visual novel experience and its own DLC catalogue is fully shipped.
Evidence
Developer announced the release of the 18+ adult content DLC for NEKO-NIN exHeart and several other series titles. This is the last content-related post specific to the base game.
The only DLC listed for this game — the 18+ Adult Only Content patch — was released on October 5, 2018. No unreleased DLC entries exist under this title.
