Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet launched on March 22, 2016 as a complete, self-contained point-and-click adventure game. Over the years it received a handful of post-launch additions: developer commentary and gamepad support were added in September 2019, the original soundtrack was released as DLC in June 2019, and an artbook DLC followed in July 2022. All listed DLC has been released. There are no unreleased DLC items, no announced future content, and no roadmap or developer statement indicating additional content is planned. The two news posts classified as "major content" are actually a bundle announcement (featuring another studio's game) and the soundtrack DLC — neither represents a new chapter or expansion for the game itself. The developer has not published any development status posts about future content plans. The most recent official communication was a maintenance patch on January 15, 2026, updating the game's underlying framework for Apple Silicon compatibility and addressing a Unity security vulnerability. This is routine upkeep, not a signal of new content. With all DLC shipped and no outstanding commitments, the game is a finished product. The artbook DLC released on July 7, 2022 represents the last content addition to the package.
