Evaluation

Neptunian Donut launched on October 12, 2017 as a short, self-contained platformer. The store description describes it as a complete experience of roughly 2–3 hours with no mention of post-launch content. On December 31, 2019, the developer announced the game would become free-to-play in 2020, and explained this decision by stating they were beginning work on a sequel — clearly treating this game as a finished product and moving on. There are no DLC listings, no unreleased content, and no developer communications suggesting any further updates to this game are planned. The game launched complete and has remained so.
