On June 17, 2020, Alex, the producer at CreAct Games, published a formal announcement explaining that Neverinth was leaving Early Access and receiving its final update that same day. The developer was transparent about the reasons: the studio ran out of funding, sales were insufficient to sustain development, and a family medical crisis made continued work impossible. The post explicitly states "this will be the last major update for Neverinth." The game shipped its final build — including a new boss, new equipment, and balance changes — and development concluded on that date. There are no unreleased DLC, no roadmap commitments outstanding, and no subsequent communications suggesting any resumption of development. The game is a complete, finished product as of its June 17, 2020 release date.
