On March 6, 2025, the developer — a solo indie developer — published an official announcement ending support for New Home: Medieval Village and removing it from sale on Steam. In the post, the developer explained that deep-rooted design problems in the project's early architecture made it impossible to continue adding content without causing crashes or breaking the project entirely, and that fixing those problems would require more effort than building a new game from scratch. As a result, development has permanently ended and the game has been delisted. This is confirmed by the store data, which shows no purchase options are currently available. Players who already own the game can still play it, but no further updates will be produced and the game cannot be newly purchased.
