Evaluation
Nexuiz originally launched on May 10, 2012, and received a handful of updates in the months following — including bug fixes, a Steam Workshop feature, and some DLC content. The game was subsequently delisted from Steam for a period before IllFonic brought it back: in late 2015 they restored server functionality for existing owners, and on March 14–15, 2016, the game returned to the Steam store for public purchase. The short store description notes that the "STUPID mode" DLC and "Duel Mode DLC" have both been made free and folded into the base game — indicating those were the final notable content additions.
The last developer communication of any kind was the March 15, 2016 post celebrating the Steam re-launch. Since then — over a decade — there have been no further news posts, patches, announcements, or developer statements. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store. The developer made no promises of future content around the re-launch; the tone of the restoration effort was focused entirely on getting the existing game functional again rather than signaling new development. IllFonic moved on to other projects (Friday the 13th: The Game, Moving Hazard, Revival) as noted in their own 2015 update.
The game launched as a finished arena shooter, received its post-launch content, and has had no developer activity since March 2016. It is a complete product.
Evidence
Nexuiz returned to the Steam Store — the last official developer communication of any kind.
Developer update focused entirely on restoring the game to a working state for existing owners, with no mention of new content plans. Developer explicitly highlighted other IllFonic projects as their current focus.

About this game
Powered by CryENGINE 3, Nexuiz reinvents Arena FPS gameplay.
For centuries the Kavussari and the Forsellians have waged war. They have a fragile truce but due to their seething disgust of each other they still pit their warriors against each other in arenas rather than on the fields of war.
Those episodes of lethal combat are now broadcast throughout the galaxy, as entertainment… a spectacle known as… The Nexuiz Competition: An arena based first person shooter where you can alter the rules of the match and laws of physics while you dominate opponents in ever-changing hostile environments bleeding with hatred.
