Night Swarm launched on December 4, 2025 after a period of active demo development and a publisher partnership with Mad Mushroom. At launch, the developer published an official roadmap (December 9, 2025) explicitly committing to continued post-launch development, including replacing AI voice acting with professional recordings and ongoing improvements based on community feedback. Since launch, the team has delivered at a strong pace: v1.1 on January 20, 2026 added new endgame buildings and an expanded talent tree; v1.2 on March 5, 2026 brought two new playable characters and full professional voice acting; and v1.3 on April 17, 2026 introduced the Pit of Elders endgame mode along with new currencies and upgrades. This puts three major updates out in roughly four and a half months post-launch, at an average interval of about 6–8 weeks between them. The most recent developer communication is the v1.3 update on April 17, 2026 — just two months before today's date of June 17, 2026. Given the established 6–8 week cadence between major releases, we are right at the edge of that window. No specific future content has been publicly announced, but the developer has made no statement indicating development is winding down. The game is actively supported and the pattern of substantial updates is clearly established.
