Evaluation
NightSky launched on March 1, 2011 as a complete, self-contained puzzle game with 11 levels, multiple difficulties, and unlockables — no post-launch content cycle was ever established. The only post-launch update was a technical patch on June 18, 2015 that added OS X and Linux ports, Steam achievements, and display improvements — no new gameplay content. There have been no developer communications since June 18, 2015, no DLC was ever released or announced, and the store description describes a fully packaged product with no mention of planned additions. The game launched as a finished product and has remained so.
