Evaluation
Noctropolis is a classic 1994 graphic adventure game re-released on Steam by Nightdive Studios on September 3, 2015 as an enhanced edition. The store description markets it as a complete, enhanced package — remastered soundtrack, improved controls, modern display support, and bug fixes from the original. This is a preservation/re-release effort, not an ongoing development project.
Post-launch activity was limited to polish and platform expansion: a patch on May 24, 2016 added multilingual support and fixed rendering issues, and macOS/Linux versions were released on October 27, 2017. Neither of these represent new content — they are platform support and quality-of-life improvements for an already-complete game. The last developer communication was on October 27, 2017, and there has been no post since. No DLC has been announced or listed, no roadmap has been published, and no future content has ever been mentioned. The game launched as a finished product and has been treated as such throughout its Steam presence.
