Nocturnal Quest: An Idle RPG Adventure

Nocturnal Quest is a free-to-play semi-idle RPG developed by a solo developer (Kosmas, operating as Lunarade OÜ). The game was first made available on January 16, 2026 and reached its 1.0 release on March 31, 2026. Between January and late March 2026, the developer was exceptionally active — publishing dozens of updates at a rate of multiple patches per week. This included the addition of a full new 7th class (the Shaman) on March 13–14, 2026, new progression systems like Paragon Levels and the Bestiary, multiple new cursed items, and extensive balance improvements. On March 8, 2026, the developer published an explicit roadmap still listing several unfinished items: town-level perks for the botanist, alchemist, and blacksmith; overall balancing improvements; more endgame mechanics; and finishing the story. They stated "there is a long way to go until 1.0." The March 14, 2026 Shaman announcement additionally noted that "dozens more effects are coming soon." The last developer communication of any kind was Patch v0.0.181 on March 22, 2026. Since then — through October 1, 2026, a gap of over six months — there have been no further posts, patches, or public statements. This silence stands in stark contrast to the rapid-fire update pace that defined the game's first three months, and it comes while several explicitly promised roadmap items remain undelivered (the story is unfinished, town-level perks were not mentioned as shipped, and more endgame mechanics were planned). There is no developer explanation for the halt in communications.
