Evaluation
Nokbak is a free-to-play multiplayer arena game released on August 29, 2017 by a BYU student animation team. The game launched as a complete product with no post-launch content roadmap.
The only developer communications after launch are a bug fix patch on September 3, 2017 and a post on July 25, 2018 where the team mentioned they were working on optimizations and floated the possibility of adding a T-Rex character, new maps, new game modes, and maybe new guns. However, this post was written by "a few people still working on Nokbak" and framed all future additions as tentative hopes rather than firm commitments. Crucially, the T-Rex character referenced in that post as being nearly finished (needing only texturing) never appears to have shipped, and there have been no developer communications of any kind since July 25, 2018.
Given that the last developer post was on July 25, 2018 — nearly eight years before today — and the studio behind this game was a student class project (BYU Animation Class of 2017), it is clear the team has long since moved on. The 2018 post's tentative promises were never fulfilled and were never followed up on. The game launched as a student project and has been in a maintenance-free, no-update state for years. It is best understood as a complete, finished product from its original release date.
Evidence
Developer post noting optimizations and vague future plans (T-Rex character, new maps, game modes, possibly new guns), but framed as tentative hopes by a small remaining team. This is the last communication from the developer on record.
First post-launch bug fix patch addressing graphics options and performance issues shortly after the August 29, 2017 release.

About this game
Nokbak is a first-person multiplayer arena shooter... with a twist! Built for 3 to 8 players, players don't shoot to kill, but rather find themselves frantically trying to knock each other off of an arena in the sky. Set in a future where dinosaurs never went extinct, they've now evolved and developed their own professional sporting leagues, the most prominent being NOKBAK.
What makes NOKBAK unique is that anyone can win at any point in the game. We capitalized on the idea that it's not over till it's over. We mean it. Bounty Mode, a game mode in which you earn every KO'd player's points, is a core mechanic of this game and insures that even the player in last place can make a comeback. Even the top scoring players will have to watch their back! As players' scores grow exponentially, things get crazy quickly, even more so with lots of players.
First to 50 points wins a place as one of the top three NOKBAK MVPs!
