NosTale - Anime MMORPG

NosTale is a free-to-play anime MMORPG that has been live since September 2017 and is designed as an ongoing live service game with no end to operations announced. The developer, Gameforge, has been extremely active through mid-2026. On July 15, 2026, they launched Act 10.2 – Guardians of Dimensions, a major content update introducing four new specialist cards (one per class), fifty new quests per class across mythological settings, a new 15-player raid, and a new combat mechanic called Dimensional Synchronisation. Patch notes for this update were published on July 14, 2026. A community update published on July 31, 2026 outlined a packed H2 2026 roadmap, including: a Summer Oasis event server running August 19 to September 30, 2026; specialist card balancing for older cards; a 19th anniversary celebration with an extension to the Celestial Spire Catacombs (10 new levels, new family missions, updated token shop); and a teased winter holiday update described as "something new." On August 5, 2026, the Summer Oasis event server was formally announced alongside the Lola Lopears summer event. Patch notes released on August 11, 2026 and a corresponding update post on August 12, 2026 delivered the promised specialist balancing changes. The game also features a free Battle Pass on its event servers, seasonal recurring events (Halloween, winter/New Year, anniversary), and rotating event raids — all hallmarks of an indefinitely-operating live game. There is substantial confirmed content still ahead for the rest of 2026.
