Nothing is Forever

Nothing is Forever is a choice-driven adult visual novel currently in Early Access. The game has been steadily building out its story chapter by chapter: Chapter 7 Part 1 shipped on February 3, 2024, and Part 2 followed on May 22, 2024. On September 27, 2025, the developer posted a progress report explaining that Chapter 8 — described as "the last big chapter" — was expected to be ready sometime in November 2025. They also confirmed that after Chapter 8, one more update would serve as an epilogue and wrap up the story, coinciding with the game's full release out of Early Access. This is the clearest possible statement of what remains: two more updates (Chapter 8 + epilogue) before the game is considered complete. On October 18, 2025, the developer followed up with a post detailing changes to the in-game skill tree being prepared for Chapter 8, showing active development work at that time. However, as of June 21, 2026, Chapter 8 has not been announced as released, and there have been no developer communications since October 18, 2025 — more than eight months after that last post, and well past the November 2025 target window the developer set for themselves. This extended silence after a missed deadline raises genuine uncertainty about whether development is still on track. The developer did acknowledge in the September 2025 post that the release cycle had been "cursed" and apologized for slow progress, so delays are not unprecedented, but the current gap is significant.
