Evaluation
NS2: Combat launched on October 31, 2014 as a standalone game. Across 49 developer news posts, every single one is a community event notification — Saturday pub games, playtests, and streams — with no patch notes, feature updates, content announcements, or developer statements about the game's future at any point in its history. There are no DLC listings, no roadmaps, and no post-launch content of any kind on record. The store description describes the game's launch content (seven lifeforms, weapons, abilities, five maps) without referencing any planned additions. This is consistent with a game that shipped as a finished product and has received no post-launch content development.

About this game

NS2: Combat includes seven different player-controllable lifeforms, a vault full of weapons and abilities, a stats system, full modding support and five original maps. Games last around 15 minutes and players may join and leave at any time without disrupting gameplay.
Faultline Games is a game developer that started as a mod team. Our indie-publisher, Unknown Worlds, also started as a mod team. NS2: Combat evolved from the modding community of Natural Selection 2 to become a standalone game. It does not require Natural Selection 2 in order to play.
