Occult launched into full public access on May 19, 2022, at which point it had two playable levels. At launch, the developer explicitly announced a third level (an abandoned subway) was in development, targeting a late July–early August 2022 release. That subway level shipped on October 26, 2022, fulfilling the announced commitment. The game accumulated five major content drops across its development and post-launch period: the Psychiatric Hospital map (March 31, 2022), the full 1.0 launch update (May 19, 2022), and the Subway location (October 26, 2022), alongside earlier pre-release updates. The Subway release on October 26, 2022 was the last major content update recorded — and critically, it was also the last developer communication of any kind found in the news feed. Since October 26, 2022, there have been no further news posts, patches, announcements, or developer communications of any kind — a silence now spanning over three and a half years (through June 23, 2026). The developer made no announcements of additional content beyond the subway level, and no unreleased DLC appears in the store listing. Given this extended silence well beyond any reasonable update window, combined with the absence of any outstanding commitments, the game appears to have concluded its content development with the Subway location release.
