AsHes (also referred to in update titles as "Charcoal Extinguished" / "Tan Xi") entered Steam Early Access on June 23, 2024. The developer, Yanmo Games, was very active in the days immediately following launch, shipping multiple patches within the first week to address player feedback and bugs. The most significant milestone was the v0.5.0.0 update on October 28, 2024, a large-scale overhaul that introduced a new procedurally generated world map, a planting system, difficulty modes, a revamped teleportation system, improved monster variety, a weather system, and a free demo — representing a substantial leap forward from the original Early Access build. A follow-up bug fix patch (v0.5.0.1) arrived on October 30, 2024, and another optimization patch (v0.5.0.3) on December 18, 2024. However, as of June 21, 2026, the last communication from the developer was on December 18, 2024. For an Early Access game that previously maintained an active patching cadence and has not announced a 1.0 release or completion of development, this extended silence is a meaningful concern. The developer has not communicated any roadmap, 1.0 target date, or statement about the future direction of the game. It is unclear whether development is continuing.
