Occult Crime Police launched as a free-to-play adventure game on October 12, 2021. The developer (a two-person team, Cam and Sam at Eggcorn Games) had previously promised a sequel case, which they delivered on December 15, 2023 as a massive free update: Case 2 – "Medium at Large." This update added a full novella-length mystery (62,000 words), 55 new character sprites, a dozen new backgrounds, and a GUI overhaul back-ported to the original case as well.
In the December 15, 2023 release post, the developer signed off by saying they'd share "what's next for Occult Crime Police… eventually… in like a year or something," then said they were going to nap for a week. This is a light-hearted, non-committal nod to future plans rather than a firm announcement of specific upcoming content. No named DLC, expansion, or roadmap has been published since then. The sole DLC listed on the store is a cosmetic "Gold Sheriff Hat" which was released on launch day in 2021.
There have been no developer posts since the December 18, 2023 bug-fix patch, now more than two and a half years ago. The game's store description reflects the current two-case state as the full product — it lists both cases by name and markets them as the complete experience. With no announced future content, no unreleased DLC, and a development pattern that delivered two cases total with no further commitments, the game is best understood as a complete product as of December 15, 2023.

Enter the comedic and mysterious world of Boomtown USA, a small desert town with big secrets, and help washed-up police sheriff Miranda Warren solve cases linked to the crime that destroyed her reputation. Investigate every nook and cranny of the crime scene. Even if something's not relevant to the case, your assistant will probably have something to say about it! Use Persuasion to exploit different facets of a witness' psychology to get them to open up to you! Ask questions, push suspects, and present evidence to uncover the truth during Interrogations.
