Evaluation

Ocean Keeper: Dome Survival launched into Early Access and officially released its 1.0 version on May 2, 2025. At launch, the developer stated "We're not done — not even close. This isn't an ending, but a new chapter. There are more updates coming, console versions on the horizon, patches, and polish to be done." True to that promise, the team shipped a post-launch feature update (version 1.0.3) on June 3, 2025, which brought the game to PlayStation and added new gameplay systems, followed by another update ("Deep Tides," version 1.0.5) on October 31, 2025 that added new content and quality-of-life improvements. However, by the time of the Deep Tides update in October 2025, the developer's focus was visibly shifting. The post emphasized the upcoming launch of a companion title, Ocean Keeper Co-op — which launched on December 3, 2025. The December 3 post treated Co-op as "the next chapter" for the Ocean Keeper universe and explicitly positioned Dome Survival as the foundation from which the team had grown, framing it as a completed work rather than an ongoing one. Then on February 23, 2026, the developer announced a brand-new game, Last Pirates: Die Together, describing it as a move "from the deep ocean to cursed islands" and noting that developing both Ocean Keeper titles "was an invaluable experience" — language strongly suggesting both Ocean Keeper games are considered finished projects. The studio, only about a month and a half into production on Last Pirates, is clearly no longer actively developing Dome Survival. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content for Dome Survival, and no post-launch update pattern has resumed since the October 2025 feature patch. The developer's last communication about Dome Survival specifically was the December 2025 Co-op launch post, and all subsequent activity points squarely to a new title. The game shipped a complete story, received post-launch polish updates, and the developer has moved on. Dome Survival is a finished product.

About this game

Welcome to Ocean Keeper, a mining roguelike shooter with a top-down view. Play as a Miner whose spaceship has crashed on a planet, filled with underwater monsters. Find resources and artifacts for purchasing valuable upgrades.

Use the time between each attack to power up your diver, mech, weapon or explore a new dungeon. Build automatic turrets, use drones to collect loot and improve your skills to increase your chances of survival. If you've ever wondered what would happen if you mixed Dome Keeper, Wall World and Vampire Survivors together, here's the answer!

Dozens of weapons, upgrades, and monsters are waiting for you. And all this in the subnautica style, along with sea monsters who are hunting you. The world here is dangerous,
and keeps in unknown threats.

The underwater world of Ocean Keeper consists of many biomes. You will have to travel through the locations and find the remains of a lost civilization. Discover mysterious locations, from abandoned sci-fi laboratories to mines with artifacts.

Drill caves in search of different resources to upgrade your equipment, weapons and Mech Spider. It's worth saying that the local fauna didn't like the fact that you want to mine their sources! So don't forget to exit the dungeons, and switch to a dynamic combat mode.

Ocean Keeper is ready to surprise you by massive battles with unique bosses! From a giant crab to the flying mouse, each battle will be a true challenge. We won’t reveal all the cards — there are many more. The other question is, will you have the strength to defeat them?

Forget about monotony - each new game session will open new secrets of the underwater world, and battles with sea monsters will become harder. You can use various meta upgrades and unique types of Mechs to bravely fight with every wave of monsters.
