Old Coin Pusher Friends 2 launched on May 18, 2023 and received a feature patch on July 28, 2023 adding Simplified and Traditional Chinese language support. That appears to be the last substantive update to the game itself. The developer (STP WORKS) has since moved on to building out the broader "Friends" series: Old Coin Pusher Friends 3 launched on July 26, 2024, and Ball Scooping Friends launched on May 2, 2025. A Unity security patch was applied on October 4, 2025, which is routine maintenance and not new content. There are no announced or unreleased DLC for this game, no roadmap for additional content, and no developer statements about future updates. The studio's attention has clearly shifted to newer entries in the series. Old Coin Pusher Friends 2 appears to have shipped as a complete product with its development now concluded.

This is the second in a series of online cooperative coin pusher games, "Old Coin Pusher Friends," set in the Edo period. As you progress through the game, you can increase your abilities through various upgrades and equipment.
Multiplayer
There are two types of multiplayer modes: random matchmaking and friend matchmaking. Whether you want to experience one-time encounters with random players or play with your friends, the game can be played in various styles. You can play with up to four people at once.
Cooperative Events
There are events to defeat yokai and a barrel game where you throw coins into a bucket. Yokai become stronger as the player's strength increases, and stronger yokai result in higher rewards.
Prize Collection
You can collect various prizes that fit the Edo period theme. Prize points are awarded based on the acquired prizes, and once you accumulate enough points, magatama appears.
