Open Wheel Manager 2 launched into Early Access on October 25, 2023 and reached its 1.0 release on December 17, 2024. During its Early Access period, the developer (Ivan at Paprikash Games) actively expanded the game with major updates covering Private/Factory team management, a Youth Academy, and a new Live Timing race mode (shipped with Update 1.1 in September 2025).
The most important development context comes from a November 15, 2025 post in which Ivan explained that he has parted ways with the publisher of OWM2 — with the rights to the game remaining with that publisher. He announced he is now developing an entirely new game called Racing Series Manager under his own studio. He stated explicitly that he will not be starting another title until everything planned for Racing Series Manager is delivered, making clear that OWM2 is no longer his focus.
