Over The Top: WWI launched on March 6, 2026 and Flying Squirrel Entertainment has maintained one of the most active post-launch update schedules in evidence. Five major content releases have shipped since launch: the Anzac Day Patch on April 24, 2026 (new weapons, tank, maps, and uniforms); a gunplay and new content patch on June 8, 2026 (new maps, vehicles, and 12 German uniforms); the Elite Armored DLC on June 25, 2026 (cosmetic uniforms); the United States Expeditionary Forces update on August 20, 2026 (new faction, weapons, vehicles, and first-person overhaul); and a new map and Hardcore Servers update on August 28, 2026. This establishes a cadence of major updates arriving roughly every 3–5 weeks since launch. The previous assessment flagged announced content (US faction, teased "larger additions") as the primary signal — that content has now fully shipped. The June 25 post's teaser about "MUCH larger and SIGNIFICANT additions" was almost certainly referring to the US Expeditionary Forces update, which the developer themselves called their "biggest update yet." No post-August 20 statement reaffirms additional unannounced content beyond what has already been delivered. About this game

Pick your Role

Charge as a rifleman, build as an engineer, clear trenches as a pyromaniac flamethrower specialist, or call in airstrikes as an officer. Each class has a clear job on the battlefield, plus plenty of room for improvisation. Choose from three factions: France, Britain, or Germany, each with eight distinct classes. Unlock new equipment and customization as you play.

Sandbox of Destruction

A dynamic, destructive WW1 Sandbox: blow up everything, dig anywhere, reshape trenches, collapse buildings, destroy fortifications. Explosions leave permanent changes that affect sightlines, routes, and cover. Fight across multiple maps, playable in different seasons and daytimes.
