Override: Mech City Brawl launched on December 3, 2018 and received post-launch DLC content including new mechs and skin packs through early 2019. On September 30, 2022, the developer posted a farewell message announcing the closure of the game's online servers and stating that the game would no longer be visible on the Steam store listings. True to that announcement, the game is no longer purchasable on Steam. The developer directed players to Override 2: Super Mech League as the ongoing successor. The game has been removed from sale and is no longer available for purchase.
