Paddle Up launched on Steam Early Access on August 24, 2016 as a VR table tennis game. The developer was active in the months immediately following launch, shipping two notable updates: a new "Penthouse" location on September 14, 2016, and a ranked multiplayer/lobby system on November 1, 2016. The last developer communication of any kind was that November 1, 2016 feature patch. Since then — now nearly a decade — there have been no further updates, developer posts, patch notes, or announcements. The game remains in Early Access on Steam, meaning the developer has never formally declared it complete or graduated it to a 1.0 release. With no update activity since November 1, 2016 and the game still technically in Early Access, it is very unclear whether development is ongoing or has been quietly abandoned.
Evidence
Update #4 added ELO ranking, a new lobby system, physics improvements, and additional customization. This is the last official communication from the developer.
Update #3 added a new 'Penthouse' location and AI difficulty improvements. Developer noted next focus would shift to physics improvements, suggesting more updates were planned.
