Pale Coins is a solo-developed old-school fantasy action RPG that launched on October 22, 2025 after five years of development. The developer has maintained an active and consistent post-launch update cadence ever since. Shortly after launch, on November 23, 2025, the developer confirmed that "development has not stopped" and that work on new quality-of-life features, mechanics, and content was already underway. A 2026 roadmap was published on December 28, 2025, previewing the next major update. That update — Version 1.1.0 "Call of the Swamp" — shipped on January 15, 2026, adding a new Swamp area, a cooking system, item storage, a loot filter, new high-level items, gems, enchantments, and more. This was followed by a bug fix patch on April 18, 2026, a substantial feature update (Version 1.1.3) on June 17, 2026 that added a new Goblin Arena, new secret areas, a reworked dodge system, and a grappling hook variant, and most recently Version 1.1.4 on August 5, 2026, adding transmogrification, new items, improved tutorials, PS5 controller support, and other improvements. Across roughly ten months since launch, the game has received two major content drops, multiple feature patches, and regular bug fixes — establishing a clear and sustained pattern of ongoing development.
