Paper Sorcerer launched on January 22, 2014 as a complete, self-contained RPG. Notably, the store description explicitly states a "promise to never make you pay for DLC content," signaling from the outset that the game was designed as a finished product with no paid post-launch content cycle.
After launch, the developer shipped a handful of patches — most notably versions 2.2 (January 30, 2014), 2.4a (July 29, 2014), and 2.5 (May 14, 2015) — which added quality-of-life features, bug fixes, and minor content tweaks.
