Pâquerette Down the Bunburrows launched on August 2, 2023 and has been receiving post-launch content as part of a publicly announced three-update roadmap. The first major update, Clockwork Bunnies, shipped on February 5, 2024. The second major update, Into the Bunframe, shipped on January 22, 2026, explicitly described as "the second major update of our 3 major updates cycle." On August 2, 2026 — the game's third anniversary — the developer posted a detailed update confirming that the third and final major update, "Bunspeakable Depths," is actively in development. The post also announced an intermediate quality-of-life update (featuring a music jukebox expansion and a new holographic character feature) that will release ahead of Bunspeakable Depths. This is the most recent developer communication and leaves no ambiguity about the game's content status. The developer has also been shipping regular maintenance patches throughout 2026, with the most recent bug-fix update (1.1.4) on June 2, 2026, confirming the team remains actively engaged with the project. Bunstack is a small team working on Bunburrows alongside part-time jobs, which accounts for the longer gaps between major releases. A paid DLC (Supporter Pack 3 or equivalent) is also expected to release alongside Bunspeakable Depths, as was the case with Supporter Pack 2 and Into the Bunframe.
