Parkasaurus

Parkasaurus launched into full release on August 12, 2020 after an extended Early Access period. Post-launch, Washbear Studio shipped two paid DLC expansions: Sea Monsters on August 11, 2022, and Prehistoric Wonders on June 12, 2023. All three DLC entries in the store listing — including the Soundtrack released May 16, 2023 — are marked as released, with nothing unreleased remaining. The most significant signal comes from a developer post on June 8, 2025 (NEWS-1), in which Washbear Studio announced their new game, Railborn. In that post, they explicitly stated that while they "plan to return to the Parkasaurus universe," the studio's current focus has shifted to Railborn. This was reinforced by an April 2, 2025 post (NEWS-2) teasing the upcoming announcement, and a June 3, 2024 feature patch (NEWS-3) that acknowledged the team had been "spending a lot of time working on our new game." The two-person studio has clearly transitioned its primary development efforts away from Parkasaurus. The store description still mentions "many more yet to be added" regarding dinosaurs, but this language appears to be legacy text that predates the DLC releases and the studio's pivot to Railborn — it has not been updated to reflect the current state of the game. No unreleased DLC is listed, no new content has been announced for Parkasaurus, and the developer's own communications confirm their attention is elsewhere. The vague mention of "returning to the Parkasaurus universe" is aspirational and unspecific — it does not constitute an announcement of planned content. All released DLC has shipped, the studio has moved to a new project, and the historical update cadence for major content (roughly one DLC per year from 2022 to 2023) has been silent since June 2023. The game is effectively complete as of the Prehistoric Wonders DLC release on June 12, 2023.
