Evaluation

Party Hard launched on August 25, 2015 and received post-launch content support through late 2016. All three DLC items — the Dark Castle level pack (September 16, 2016), the official soundtrack (November 10, 2016), and the High Crimes story DLC (November 10, 2016) — have been released. A Collector's Edition bundling all content was introduced alongside the High Crimes DLC on November 10, 2016, marking the completion of the game's content cycle. After November 2016, developer communications for this game shifted entirely toward promoting Party Hard 2, the sequel. A February 2017 announcement formally unveiled Party Hard 2, and the sequel launched on Steam in October 2018. The most recent news post referencing this game's Steam page (April 2024) is actually a Party Hard 2 update announcement cross-posted to the original game's community hub — it contains no new content for Party Hard itself. There are no unreleased DLC items, no announced future content for Party Hard, and no developer statements indicating any plans to return to this title. The store description even references Party Hard 2 as "coming," which was accurate at time of writing but has since launched. The original game's content development concluded in November 2016.

About this game

Party Hard 2 is coming!

NOW WITH LOCAL CO-OP! In Party Hard, you play as someone who is really tired of their neighbours having loud parties. Instead of calling the police, you decide it’s a better idea to take everyone down using your faithful knife and the environment. The story of this tactical strategy follows a series of killings at parties throughout the USA.

The developers used to work mostly on casual, family-friendly games until they participated in a game jam, making the first prototype for Party Hard. TinyBuild backed up the original authors, Pinokl Games, to create a full version that is now on Steam!

Party Hard has semi-procedurally generated environments and focuses on unique ways of killing people. In the greatest traditions of stealth games, your main goal is not to get caught while silently picking off unsuspecting victims one by one. Dancing and blending in in a suspicious situation is key.

  • A (not)serious story that follows a series of murders throughout the USA
  • 19 unique levels with random variations on each one
  • Use traps, cause explosions, become a ninja
  • Multiple unlock-able characters
  • Local co-op multiplayer
  • Special random events, like a bear coming in and killing everyone for you
  • Trigger the DEA, SWAT, paramedics or firefighters to come and ruin the party

5 Playable Characters!

  • The guy who wants to get some sleep
  • The ninja who is fast, stealthy, has a smoke bomb, but shouldn't be seen
  • The cop who can carry bodies around without suspicion, and frame innocent people
  • The girl who can knock people out
  • The butcher who has a chainsaw

Play the game live on Twitch and let your viewers impact what's happening!

Yes, you can let your Twitch viewers mess with you while you’re playing Party Hard. They can cause all sorts of chaos like inviting more people to the party, calling in special forces, bringing Sharknados, and more!
