DEADBOLT launched on March 14, 2016 as a complete, self-contained stealth-action game. It has never followed a DLC or expansion content model — there are no paid add-ons listed on the store, and the developer (Hopoo Games) has not announced any future content for the game. The most recent developer communication, a 10th Anniversary Community Highlight posted on March 18, 2026, explicitly addresses the question of future content. The post celebrates the game's decade-long legacy, highlights community creations, and even jokes about "DEADBOLT 2 conspiracy boards" — but it makes no announcements of new content from Hopoo Games themselves. This mirrors the tone of an earlier community post from February 15, 2023, which stated directly: "there aren't any plans or teasers for future DEADBOLT content from Hopoo Games themselves." The March 2026 post also notes that Hopoo Games has since moved on to work on Deadlock, further confirming the studio's focus has shifted away from DEADBOLT. The same update window included a substantial bug-fix patch (v1.0.3, March 18, 2026), which addressed longstanding issues across bugs, map fixes, and gameplay tweaks — but this is maintenance work, not new content development. DEADBOLT launched as a finished product and has remained so. The developer has been transparent that no new content is planned, and the studio has moved on to other projects. The game is complete.
