Peaceful Days launched out of nearly six years of Early Access on November 6, 2025, when developer Nhat Nguyen released version 1.0. The game shipped as a complete product — the developer described it as "the best game I can make at this moment." The only DLC is a cosmetic Supporter's Pack released on November 13, 2025. No expansions or additional content have ever been announced. After launch, Nhat actively maintained the game through a series of bug fixes and quality-of-life patches, shipping more than 30 updates up through April 28, 2026. Throughout this period, he was open about managing a serious kidney disease that caused repeated interruptions: a hospital stay starting around November 15, 2025, a return in January 2026, a note on January 19, 2026 that his health was "getting worse everyday," and further breaks in between. The most recent communication — a personal update posted on August 18, 2026 — is the most significant signal. Nhat shared that he is still preparing for an organ transplant, that sales have been slow, and that he does not know what the future holds. He expressed a sincere hope to return to development someday but offered no timeline or commitment. The post reads as a heartfelt message to the community during an extremely difficult personal period, with no indication of when or whether active development will resume. The game itself appears complete as shipped, with no announced outstanding content. However, given that the developer himself has expressed uncertainty about returning and the last patch was on April 28, 2026, there is genuine uncertainty about whether the game will continue to receive maintenance support.
