Forager

Forager launched on April 18, 2019 and received a strong run of free major content updates throughout its first year and a half. The Combat Update shipped on October 15, 2019, the Nuclear Update on January 16, 2020, and the Forager: Evolved expansion on July 2, 2020. These three major drops established an active post-launch update cadence. However, all developer communication effectively stopped after July 2020 — except for a single June 2021 post announcing a separate game called Lost Nova, which is set in the Forager universe but is a distinct product. The most recent developer communication about Forager itself dates to October 2020, which was a newsletter-style announcement about monthly adventure packs. No major content updates, feature patches, or development status posts about Forager have appeared since then. Notably, the multiplayer mode that was teased as far back as the launch day announcement (April 18, 2019) and again referenced in October 2020 as being in closed beta testing was never released. Despite repeated promises over more than a year, this feature never shipped and the developer has not communicated about it since October 2020. Given that developer communications about Forager ceased entirely by mid-2021 — now nearly five years ago as of June 2026 — and the studio's energy has clearly moved to other projects, it is reasonable to conclude that active development on Forager has concluded. The last substantive content addition was Forager: Evolved on July 2, 2020, which serves as the practical completion point for the game's content.
