Nova Lands launched on June 22, 2023 as a fully complete 1.0 release — the developer explicitly stated it would not be an Early Access title. After launch, the team shipped one major content update: the Quantum Gravity update on December 4, 2023, which added new buildings, islands, quests, a story ending, logistics systems, and more. Hotfix patches followed in December 2023 to address bugs from that update.
On November 10, 2025, the developer posted an announcement revealing their next game, Fourleaf Fields. Critically, that same post addressed Nova Lands directly: "About Nova Lands: our support continues, we'll keep updating the game, fixing bugs and issues!" This confirms the developer still monitors and maintains Nova Lands, but frames future work as bug fixes and maintenance rather than new content.
There is only one major content update in the post-launch history (Quantum Gravity, December 2023), which does not establish a recurring content cadence. No future DLC, expansions, or content updates have been announced for Nova Lands. The sole DLC listed is the Supporter Pack, which released on launch day and is a cosmetic/support item rather than a content expansion. With no unshipped content announced and the developer's attention now focused on a new title, the game's content appears complete as of the Quantum Gravity update in December 2023.

New planet, new home. Build your new base with all sorts of resources available to you, from basic rocks and wood to rare and unknown materials. Unlock new possibilities with every new building, maximize efficiency, and push deeper to other islands.
As you progress through the game, you will be able to automate more and more things, freeing up more time to explore! Your little helper bots will be instrumental in helping you do that.
The bots are the tipping point where your ingenuity will begin to shine. These little self-sufficient machines can form entire production chains and sustain your industry all on its own. They’re easy to set up and manage.
Just like you’re not the only person to land on this planet, your started island is one of many! Kickstart your industry to get all the tech you need and comfortably explore other islands. You’ll come across various biomes, creatures, landmarks, caves, and some really important people…
Of course, there’s a blaster you can fire, and critters large enough to be a real menace! Engage in combat and gather rare materials, or, go the full pacifist route and remain a kind guest to this planet - even when boss creatures are concerned. Be prepared to offer valuables to make peace with them, however.
