Chocolate Factory launched on June 18, 2024 as a complete product. The launch post from the developer described the game as a finished experience, with the developer expressing that they hoped players would "enjoy the game as much as I've enjoyed making and playing through it" — language that suggests a completed work rather than an ongoing development project. In the days immediately following launch, the developer issued four hotfix patches (June 18–20, 2024) addressing bugs and small quality-of-life issues, which is normal post-launch maintenance activity. The only post-launch announcement was on July 5, 2024, when the developer revealed a separate spin-off game — Candy Factory TD — a tower defense game in a similar setting. This announcement explicitly directed players to a different Steam store page and was not a content update for Chocolate Factory itself. Since July 5, 2024, there have been no further developer communications of any kind for Chocolate Factory. The game has no DLC listed, no roadmap, no season pass, and no announced future content. The developer has never stated plans for expansions or updates beyond the initial post-launch bug fixes. The game appears to have launched as a self-contained, finished product.
