Phucker in the Gulag is a free-to-play visual novel that launched on May 13, 2019 as the second entry in a planned trilogy. The developer announced both the prequel (Phucker in the Woods) and the sequel (Phucker in the Rome) in mid-2019, describing Rome as "the third and final installment" of the Phucker Saga. On February 8, 2021, the developer released Phucker in the Ashes — a complete compilation that bundles all three games (Woods, Gulag, and Rome) together with a new novel, bloopers, concept art, and bonus content. This compilation represents the definitive conclusion of the series. The trilogy is complete, the compilation has shipped, and there have been no announcements of additional content for Gulag specifically since February 2021. The game launched as a self-contained story and the full saga has now concluded.
