Evaluation
Pianistic launched on September 1, 2020 as a rhythm game featuring 20 classical and jazz piano pieces. Over the following years the developer steadily improved the game: adding songs (April 2021), introducing Practice Mode (March 2022), and then shipping a major Steam Workshop update with a custom map editor in March 2023. The store description still carries the promise "More songs will be updated," signaling the developer's intent to expand the track list.
However, the most recent developer communication of any kind was the Steam Workshop update post on March 22, 2023. Since that date — more than three years ago as of June 2026 — there have been no patch notes, news posts, or announcements of any kind. The promised additional songs have not materialized, and the developer has not commented on the status of that commitment. Given the extended silence alongside an unfulfilled content promise, it is unclear whether active development is continuing.
Evidence
Major update added Steam Workshop support and a custom map editor — the last developer communication on record.
Practice Mode added as a major free update.
