Pigeon Protocol launched on April 21, 2023 as a free-to-play multiplayer game. Further patches addressed bugs, added spectator mode, and made quality-of-life improvements. The final recorded developer communication was on December 26, 2023 — a minor patch adding a new hat and restoring the player limit to 30. That post noted "while we can't give a definitive timeframe, there will be another update in the future," suggesting intent at the time but without committing to specific content. Since December 26, 2023, there have been no further posts, patches, or announcements from Bronze Box Interactive — a silence of over 2.5 years as of June 2026. The game shipped only one substantive major content update (the May 2023 patch adding game modes), and the overall update history shows activity clustered tightly around the April–December 2023 window. With no unreleased DLC, no outstanding commitments, and developer communication having stopped entirely well over a year ago, the game appears to have concluded its active post-launch update cycle.
