Notably, the post mentioned "before we shift our focus to the woods," which could suggest the team's primary development attention is moving toward their new title. However, no explicit statement has been made that The Mosquito Gang's updates are ending. The game has no unreleased DLC listed on the store and no announced future content at this time, but given its sustained pattern of seasonal updates roughly every 2–3 months, no announcement of completion, and continued developer engagement as recently as April 9, 2026, the game remains in an active update cadence.
